Nikita Panchal – Marketing Director

What was your first job?
At university I did graphic design work as my part time job.
When I graduated I was on the Arcadia Group graduate marketing scheme.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was really little I wanted to be a fire lady, but then when I got older, I knew marketing was all I ever wanted to do to be absolutely honest.

Soundtrack of your life?
This changes depending on what’s happening in my life. I’m a sucker for Bollywood music so it would probably be a Bollywood hit single, BUT after having my little one, my life soundtrack is currently a nursery rhyme (Polly put the kettle on…) * head shaking *

Biggest pet peeve?
People who use redundant hashtags on Instagram, like #me #human #girl.
Or, in joint place with people who say “literally” when what they mean is not literal.

What is one thing you’re learning and why is it important?
I’m learning about different breathing techniques. I’m into yoga so I believe breathing has the ability to focus and ground you. Every day is also a school day with my baby boy. It’s important I keep him alive!!!

Favourite phrase?
‘If it doesn’t kill you it makes you stronger’. That’s ‘literally’ – refer to above – my answer to everything life chucks at you. Kelly Clarkson’s song sprung into mind here, but, Polly and her kettle snatched the win above.

What is your guilty pleasure?
Ketchup with…. everything. Don’t judge me.

What is your most used emoji?
The laughing emoji. For some reason I have a lot of sarcastic people in my life, so my response to sarcastic messages is a laughing emoji. You know the one you send when you’re too time poor to actually type a witty reply.

Do you have a hidden talent?
I’m double jointed – does that count? Oh, and I can write with both my hands! Strange, I know.

Do you have an industry idol, if so who? And why?
As I’m a YouTuber, I’d pick Lilly Singh without a shadow of a doubt. She’s got millions of followers globally and recently became a night time TV host on NBC.

What is your favourite thing about being a Bubble?
Getting to work on incredible accounts and working with different businesses all day every day makes it an exciting occupation. Getting to do what I love – marketing – is also an added bonus.

What is the best piece of advice you have been given? 
Rule of life; if you bother to ask for someone’s advice, then bother to listen to it because learning from others is one of life’s greatest lessons.
