We are a fun team made up of an array of exciting personalities. Find out more about the faces behind the team in our Behind The Bubble Q&A.

What was your first job? My first ‘grown up’ job was as Marketing Assistant at a software development company, where I learned many of the basics of real-world marketing. My very first job was behind the till at my local newsagent.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? I wanted to be a courier – someone who looked after people when they travelled, solved their problems abroad, got to travel to far-flung destinations and wore a natty uniform. Unfortunately my vision of being a courier was from the 1950s-60s golden age of glamorous travel, while my reality would have been being a holiday rep at 1990s Club 18-30…
Soundtrack of your life? It’s too hard to choose one for my whole life so far… for this current chapter, Adventure of a Lifetime by Coldplay was out just when we were preparing to move to Dubai, which seemed quite apt.
Biggest pet peeve? People who don’t put their trolleys back in the trolley bay in the supermarket carpark. It’s not hard, people!!
What is one thing you’re learning and why is it important? Something I’ve been learning for many years, and still need to remind myself, is that sometimes ‘it just is’. At school it was frustrating maths theory and language rules that I couldn’t get my head around, now it’s directives or rules that makes no sense. I have to stop saying ‘but why?’ and acknowledge that, in most (though not all!) instances, life is easier when you can accept that ‘it just is’ and move on.
Favourite phrase; English and another language? My son and I nearly always do the Monica/Rachel ‘Got the keeeys?’ bit when leaving the house… (“You said you HAD the keeeys!”). Arabic: Yalla habibi! (Let’s go, guys!)
What is your guilty pleasure? A good Netflix/Amazon box set that none of my family wants to watch; sneaking episodes while they are out or busy, trying and failing to measure out episodes to make them last longer. Current favourite: Friday Night Lights.
What is your most used emoji? The ‘OMG/are you serious??’ eyes-wide-open face (which, now that I’ve looked it up, doesn’t mean that at all!) 😳
Do you have a hidden talent? I have a ridiculously good memory for actors’ past roles and can generally answer “What was he in before?” and “Why does she look familiar?” when watching films or TV. I can also fold a crisp packet up into a tiny triangle. Both life-changing talents, you will agree.
What is your favourite thing about being a Bubble? The other Bubbles! They are such a great team of hardworking, FUN people who are a pleasure to work and play with.
