Kelli Neve-Read – Business Development Manager

What was your first job?
If I can count this as my first job. When I was 13 years old, I had a newspaper round with my local newsagent. The usual big bag, pilled in with newspapers with their glossy mags. Only a small route close to home so how bad could it be – BAD 1) if you don’t have a bike and 2) if you CAN’T even a ride a bike! Let’s just say it was the shortest job ever – I made it to day two and the shop manager and I mutually agreed, it wasn’t meant to be!

What did you want to be when you were growing up?
When I was a growing up, I loved reading (still do) and relished every chance I had visiting our local library. For years I wanted to be a librarian…I even played libraries at home! I think I was a much quieter child than I am as a grown up!

Soundtrack of your life?
Can I have two? Al Green – Let’s Stay Together and Shola Alma – Imagine

Biggest pet peeve?
Oh I have a list…at the top has to be people just being unkind and rude to others (why do people not say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’)

What is one thing you’re learning and why is it important?
I guess it’s to not to ‘sweat the small stuff’. Don’t worry about things that are not important, it’s just not worth it.

Favourite phrase?
I love the phrase “A day without laughter is a day wasted” – how can you let a day go by without having a great, good belly laugh or hearing laughter around you? And “ya mas” which is the Greek version of ‘cheers” and means “to our health”.

What is your guilty pleasure?
A fried egg, bacon and black pudding sandwich in brown bread and a dollop of brown sauce. Delicious!

What is your most used emoji?
A what?!?

Do you have a hidden talent?
I can get through a box of 24 pieces Ferrero Rocher in one sitting!

What is your favourite thing about being a Bubble?
There’s a great family feel to the team and we’re always looking out for each other. Our clients are at the heart of Bubble and we are a passionate, creative bunch with a one-team focus to deliver the best results we can for our clients – always with some fun along the way!
