Disguise, the Platform Behind the Biggest Sport Events This Summer, Emerges at IBC 2024

Disguise will Showcase the Latest Developments to its End-to-End Broadcast Studio Solution, used in Major Broadcasts like the 2024 Olympics and Euros Tournament

Amsterdam, 9 September 2024 – Disguise, the industry-leading platform sitting at the heart of a new era of visual experiences, will unveil its latest broadcast product developments and Emmy award-winning creative services at IBC 2024, showcasing a range of cutting-edge projects and productions it has been used for, including the Olympics, UEFA Euro tournament and the US and Mexican Elections. Partnering with industry leaders including INFiLED, Samsung (with White Light), ROE Visual and Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC), Disguise will have a presence on multiple booths demonstrating how its advanced solutions are driving the next generation of broadcast workflows.

On the INFiLED stand (3.B61), event-goers can witness the Disguise Porta graphics controller in action, enabling the playout of all graphics types, from motion graphics to LED, AR or even XR, all from a single easy-to-use interface. Thanks to its native Unreal Engine integration, including Unreal Engine Motion Design, Porta allows broadcasters to bring the most advanced real-time engine into their traditional broadcast workflow to future-proof their productions.

Paired with Porta, will be the Disguise’s Ipsum data aggregator tool, which can transform raw data streams into visually stunning real-time graphics.

“IBC is the perfect place to share technology innovations with the broadcast industry and we are delighted to show how Disguise’s integrated platform can control the output of any graphic from any source to any pixel ” commented Disguise VP of Business Development David Jorba. “We are looking forward to working with our partners and meeting IBC delegates from around the world to share knowledge and experiences, and to celebrate the outstanding creativity and technical excellence that continue to push the boundaries of what is possible.”

As part of its event partnership with INFiLED, Disguise’s latest hardware releases, the VX 3 and VX 2+ media servers and RX III real-time render node, will be powering the LED graphics on INFiLED’s stand. The VX 3 and VX 2+ servers are the latest additions to the Disguise flagship VX hardware range, featuring the Nvidia RTX A4500 GPU, Intel Xeon 3.1Ghz CPU and 100Gb networking in a ruggedised 4U chassis. With a choice of two or three 4K video outputs, these solutions are built to power both pre-rendered and real-time video playback at an unmatched power per output.

The RX III real-time render node is the third generation in the Disguise real-time range, developed to render increasingly demanding and complex real-time content from the user’s engine of choice. Powered by an Nvidia RTX 6000 Ada GPU, it allows any industry to benefit from the magic of real-time scenes and, paired with the Disguise RenderStream’s bi-directional data transfer protocol, can scale content endlessly via cluster rendering, whilst ensuring seamless synchronization between a virtual scene and the physical LED.

More Industry-Leading IBC2024 Highlights from Disguise include the following:

ROE Visual – stand 7.B26

The Disguise VX 4+ and VX 2+ will be powering ROE Visual’s stand 7.B26, equipped with patented IP-VFC technology, enabling a full ST 2110 workflow from the media servers to their Ruby LED panels. Disguise’s IP video format conversion card solution enables broadcast studios to adopt end-to-end ST 2110 workflows to output 4K video content over IP with minimal latency, removing the need for conversion using external devices downstream.

Disguise and ROE Visual’s solutions are making a significant industry impact, having been used together with Megapixel’s Helios LED processor to enable the first large-scale live broadcast event deploying a full video over IP stream for Eurovision 2024.

Samsung – stand 9.A03

Disguise, together with White Light, will feature on the Samsung stand, showcasing the capabilities of its GX 3, VX 2 and RX II hardware and how White Light integrates Disguise’s platform with Samsung’s market-leading display solutions to support XR stages and LED Walls while offering practical insights into advanced broadcast production workflows

MRMC – stand 11.C28

Disguise will also feature on Mark Roberts Motion Control (MRMC)’s stand at IBC this year. The VX 3 and RX III servers will power real-time content created by Disguise’s services division Meptik. The system will sync with three MRMC camera robotic solutions, the StudioBot XL, TRH Track Robotic Head and the RLS-1 Rail System to create dynamic virtual environments on the stand.

MRMC will also be speaking on ‘Technical Considerations for Virtual Production with Steve Giralt’ on Saturday 14 September at 10:30am as well as discussing their work on ESPN’s game changing Catalyst Stage on the 15 September at 3pm.
