Why did HBS need campaign activation for a new digital sports brand?
HBS had built a reputation for delivering content for world-class sports events, but their existing branding no longer reflected their ambition to expand into broader digital storytelling.
With the demand for impactful digital strategies on the rise, HBS needed a dedicated sub-brand and identity that could capture this evolution – one that showcased its ability to engage fans, unlock new revenue streams, and deliver diverse content formats.

What makes a successful brand activation campaign in sports and media tech?
Following briefing meetings held with both the client and extensive industry research, the first step for Bubble’s Sport and Media Tech PR team was designing an array of new logos for the HBS team to review, as well as a complete secondary brand style, developed in close collaboration with numerous senior stakeholders within the company.
Once the visual identity was finalised, Bubble led the end-to-end launch of the brand.

Crafting social media campaigns and identifying the key platforms where skroller needed to be visible, including LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Twitch, and Instagram. This included the account setup of new channels where needed.
Leading a global press strategy, where we liaised with key media outlets to explain the mission and vision behind the launch and value of the new brand.
We took full advantage of IBC 2024, with press and analyst appointment-setting for the skroller team, and arranged their participation at Bubble House as part of the trade show.
Targeted email communications to key stakeholders, including bespoke outreach to current customers, prospects, employees, suppliers, and press.
Fulfilling the complete creative direction and execution for the new skroller website, overseeing the entire design of the site, from layout to image sourcing, and content writing.
The development of the brand was fully handled by Bubble, ensuring a seamless build that brought our creative vision to life. Given the large scale of the project, Bubble coordinated closely with skroller’s legal, HR, IT, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and successful execution.

The skroller brand hit the ground running from the get-go, with its new website and dedicated LinkedIn account seeing 10,000+ unique visitors to the website on the week of launch.
