The PR Brief for Pro AV Trade Show

MAXHUB, a global leader in integrated communication displays and unified communications solutions, engaged Bubble Agency on a project basis just four weeks before InfoComm, one of the AV industry’s most important annual trade shows. 

Although the brand held a strong reputation in the APAC region, it lacked name recognition in North America.

Despite the tight timeline, the client came to Bubble with ambitious expectations, including securing at least ten one-on-one editorial appointments, achieving daily and post-show media coverage across multiple outlets, hosting a well-attended press conference, and capturing high-quality photography throughout the event.

To meet and exceed MAXHUB’s goals, Bubble immediately activated its AV Business Unit, leveraging deep media relationships and tradeshow expertise to build an intensive campaign. 

Within two weeks, the team launched a pre-show media blitz that included drafting and pitching a press release, initiating direct, personalised outreach to key editors to introduce MAXHUB and secure appointments, and planning a press conference for day one of the show. 

Bubble’s team managed every aspect of these editorial meetings, from auditing conversations and taking notes to conducting follow-up outreach to ensure sustained interest. Award entries were also submitted for several MAXHUB products, and a professional on-site photographer was arranged to capture key moments on the show floor.

To further prepare MAXHUB’s team, Bubble delivered a comprehensive Media Briefing Book five days prior to the event. This tailored document included the client’s full InfoComm schedule, bios and headshots of each editor they were meeting with, descriptions of relevant media outlets, talking points for interviews, and any recent coverage MAXHUB had received. 

Following the event, Bubble provided a detailed wrap-up report that summarised all editorial meetings, catalogued media coverage, and identified next steps for future engagement.
