CONNECT to the World & Experience The Future of Production with ATOMOS at IBC2022

Melbourne, Australia – September 2nd 2022 – The ATOMOS team is excited to be returning to Amsterdam and looking forward to meeting attendees at IBC2022 9th-12th September (Booth 11.D25). Recent tradeshow experiences have reconfirmed how important it is to engage with customers and partners in person, how valuable hands-on demonstrations of the latest technologies are, and how vital it is to remain an active member of the community. At this year’s show ATOMOS will focus on the new, award winning, CONNECT range of devices; ATOMOS Cloud Studio services, including ATOMOS Capture to Cloud and ATOMOS Stream; and will be making a further announcement on 8th September about some exciting upcoming releases.

2022 is already proving to be a landmark year in the history of the company. Alongside a new category of devices, the introduction of a new cloud strategy, and new partnerships, ATOMOS recently confirmed the appointment of Trevor Elbourne as the new CEO. Trevor is looking forward to leading the company into this new era and renewing the commitment that ATOMOS will continue to create the most innovative technologies for digital filmmakers and video content producers to transform the future of production. Camera to Cloud
Since its launch in early 2021, C2C has been used by over four thousand productions to share footage directly from the set with remote team members. Conventional workflows require a significant amount of media movement, which must be proactively managed to ensure footage is tracked, securely backed up, and delivered to all the right locations. The entire process is risky, costly, time-consuming, and ultimately a considerable burden to production teams. The C2C workflow skips a number of these steps and provides a direct path for production to send media directly to the post-production teams. Media is transferred from C2C certified devices wherever you are over standard network connections to the cloud, for viewing, approval, and editing.

SHOGUN CONNECT and ATOMOS CONNECT for NINJA V and NINJA V+ include support for C2C workflows. This means an unprecedented number of digital cinema, mirrorless, and DSLR cameras can now

deliver media directly from production to post. With ATOMOS and C2C every filmmaker, broadcaster, and content producer has the opportunity to accelerate their workflow, collaborate in real-time, and support remote team members, no matter the location, budget, or camera.

After the successful launch of SHOGUN CONNECT and ATOMOS CONNECT for NINJA V and NINJA V+, the latest addition to CONNECT product range is ZATO CONNECT, a brand-new device which provides support for HDMI and USB UVC sources. Today ZATO CONNECT can be used to switch between two sources, overlay graphics, record the edited program, as well as stream to platforms including Facebook Live, Twitch, YouTube and custom RTMP destinations, with a software update v10.02.00 coming very soon. ATOMOS is listening to customer feedback and studying the market to make sure that each product fulfills specific requirements and does so in ways that inspire creativity. ZATO CONNECT is no exception to this rule and a future software update to be shown at IBC will add built-in picture-in-picture (PiP) in combination with graphical overlays support.

Complete Workflows
As ATOMOS expands the functionality of the product range and adds services to ATOMOS Cloud Studio new creative opportunities and workflows emerge. For example, ZATO CONNECT is a great device that addresses a gap in the existing market for an affordable streaming device, but another side is revealed when it’s used in conjunction with NINJA CAST. Together the devices form a complete solution for switching and streaming multi-camera productions. The NINJA CAST supports up to 4 HDMI sources and offers both touchscreen and physical buttons. The output of the NINJA CAST can be formatted and streamed by ZATO CONNECT without the need for an ancillary computer or specialist software.
